Matthew 24:11: "And many false-prophets will-arise and deceive many."

The same Greek words that are used in the various passages will be CAPITALIZED.

False prophet who deceive many in Acts?

It is written in Matthew 24:11: "FALSE-PROPHETS will-arise and DECEIVE many".

A false prophet already started to make an appearance in the book of Acts. For example, it is explicitly written about "(a) certain man (who was a) magician, (a) Jewish FALSE-PROPHET (for) whom (the) name (was) Bar-Jesus" (Acts 13:6).

Saul added that this magician who was a "FALSE-PROPHET" (Acts 13:6) was "full (of) all deceit" (Acts 13:10) as "Saul (the (one) also (called) Paul), having-been-filled (with the) Holy Spirit, having-looked-intently at him, said “O son (of the) devil full (of) all deceit" (Acts 13:9-10).

From this, it may be understood that this "FALSE-PROPHET" (Acts 13:6) who was "full (of) all deceit" (Acts 13:10) may have been there to DECEIVE MANY, as he was not only opposing here both Barnabas and Saul but he also tried at the same time to do that before yet another person, "the proconsul, Sergius Paulus" (Acts 13:7), as it is written that he "was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, (an) intelligent man. This (one), having-summoned Barnabas and Saul, sought to-hear the word (of) God. But the magician Elymas (for so his name is-translated) was-opposing them" (Acts 13:7-8).

Many false prophets who deceive many in 1 John?

It is written in Matthew 24:11: "MANY FALSE-PROPHETS will-arise and deceive many".

It is written later in the 1st century in 1 John: "MANY FALSE-PROPHETS have-gone-out into the world" (1 John 4:1). The Greek word for "have-gone-out" (1 John 4:1) is in the perfect tense, referring to a past event.

There are also more similarities between Matthew 24:10-12 specifically and 1 John 4, which may further indicate that Matthew 24:11 and 1 John 4:1 could refer to similar events.

For example, Jesus said in Matthew 24:10-12 that many "WILL-HATE one-another" (Matthew 24:10), "And MANY FALSE-PROPHETS will-arise" (Matthew 24:11) "And THE LOVE (of) the majority will-grow-cold" (Matthew 24:12).

In 1 John 4 it is written that "If someone may-say that “I-love God” and MAY-BE-HATING his brother, he-is (a) liar" (1 John 4:20) and "MANY FALSE-PROPHETS have-gone-out into the world" (1 John 4:1) and "THE LOVE has-been-perfected with us" (1 John 4:17).

The Greek word for "LOVE" [agapé 26 in Greek, noun] only appears 1 time in Matthew, and that 1 time is found in Matthew 24:12.

It is written in Matthew 24:11: "many false-prophets will-arise and DECEIVE many".

It is written in 1 John: "I-wrote these (things to) you concerning the (ones) DECEIVING YOU" (1 John 2:26). The Greek word for "YOU" in 1 John 2:26 is in the plural, thus these people were DECEIVING more than one person here.

There are also more similarities between Matthew 24:10-12 specifically and 1 John 2, which may further indicate that Matthew 24:11 and 1 John 2:26 could refer to similar events.

For example, Jesus said in Matthew 24:10-12 that "many will-be-caused-to-fall, and will-hand one-another over, and WILL-HATE one-another" (Matthew 24:10), "And many false-prophets will-arise and DECEIVE many" (Matthew 24:11) "And the LOVE (of) the majority will-grow-cold" (Matthew 24:12).

In 1 John 2 it is written that "The (one) loving his brother is-abiding in the light, and there-is no cause-of-falling in him. But the (one) HATING his brother is in the darkness" (1 John 2:10-11), "I-wrote these (things to) you concerning the (ones) DECEIVING YOU" (1 John 2:26), "If anyone may-be-loving the world, the LOVE (of) the Father is not in him" (1 John 2:15).

The Greek word for "LOVE" [agapé 26 in Greek, noun] only appears 1 time in Matthew, and that 1 time is found in Matthew 24:12.

False prophets who deceive many in 2 Thessalonians?

It is written in Matthew 24:11: "MANY FALSE-PROPHETS will-arise and DECEIVE many".

It is written later in the 1st century in 2 Thessalonians "that you not be quickly shaken in mind nor alarmed — neither BY SPIRIT, nor by word, nor by letter as(-if) by us, how that the day (of) the Lord (now)-was-standing-in. Let no one deceive YOU in any way" (2 Thessalonians 2:2-3).

In 1 John, it is written: "be-testing the SPIRITS (to see) if they-are from God, because MANY FALSE-PROPHETS have-gone-out into the world" (1 John 4:1). So here the "SPIRITS" (1 John 4:1) were linked directly "because MANY FALSE-PROPHETS" (1 John 4:1) had gone out trying probably to deceive people by their false prophecies.

Could it be that in 2 Thessalonians the 1st century audience that to not be alarmed "BY SPIRIT" (2 Thessalonians 2:2) "how that the day (of) the Lord (now)-was-standing-in" (2 Thessalonians 2:2) because that would be linked directly with false prophets at that time already potentially trying to deceive them? This could explain why the following command was added: "Let no one deceive you in any way" (2 Thessalonians 2:3). The Greek word for "you" in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 is in the plural, thus more than one person could end up being deceived here.

There are also similarities between Matthew 24 and 2 Thessalonians 2, which may further indicate that Matthew 24:11 and 2 Thessalonians 2:2-3 could refer to similar events.
