Similarities: Matthew 24 & 2 Corinthians 1

There are similarities between Matthew 24 and 2 Corinthians 1.

Matthew 24:9: "Then they-will-hand you over to affliction [thlipsin 2347 in Greek], and they-will-kill you. And you-will-be being-hated by all the nations because-of My name."

2 Corinthians 1:6: "And if we-are-being-afflicted [thlibometha 2346 in Greek] — (it is) for (the sake of) your comfort and salvation. If we-are-being-comforted — (it is) for (the sake of) your comfort, the (comfort) being-at-work in (your) endurance (of) the same sufferings which we also are-suffering."

The Greek word for "affliction" [thlipsis 2347 in Greek, noun] used in Matthew 24:9 comes from the Greek word for "we-are-being-afflicted" [thlibó 2346 in Greek, verb] which is used in 2 Corinthians 1:6.

Matthew 24:13: "But the (one) having-endured (hüpomeinas 5278 in Greek) to (the) end — this (one) will-be-saved (sōthēsetai 4982 in Greek)."

2 Corinthians 1:6: "And if we-are-being-afflicted — (it is) for (the sake of) your comfort and salvation (sōtērias 4991 in Greek). If we-are-being-comforted — (it is) for (the sake of) your comfort, the (comfort) being-at-work in (your) endurance (hüpomonē 5281 in Greek) (of) the same sufferings which we also are-suffering."

(The Greek word for "salvation" (sótéria 4991 in Greek, noun) used in 2 Corinthians 1:6 is a feminine of a derivative of the Greek word for "savior" (sótér 4990 in Greek, noun) which comes from the Greek word for "will-be-saved" (sózó 4982 in Greek, verb) used in Matthew 24:13).

(The Greek word for "endurance" (hupomoné 5281 in Greek, noun) used in 2 Corinthians 1:6 comes from the Greek word for "having-endured" (hupomenó 5278 in Greek, verb) which is used in Matthew 24:13).

Matthew 24:14: "And this good-news (of) the kingdom will-be-proclaimed in the whole world for (a) testimony (to) all the nations. And then the END will-come."
