The Greek word for "TO-GATHER- TOGETHER" (episunagó 1996 in Greek) is only used 3 times in Matthew, and all these 3 times are found exclusively in Matthew 23:37 and Matthew 24:31.

Matthew 24:31: "And He-will-send-out His angels with (a) loud trumpet. And THEY-WILL-GATHER-TOGETHER His chosen (ones) from the four winds, from (the) ends (of the) heavens to their [other] ends."

Matthew 23:37: "JERUSALEM, JERUSALEM, the (one) killing the prophets and stoning the (ones) having-been-sent-forth to her. How-often I-wanted to-gather-together your children the way (a) hen gathers-together her chicks under (her) wings, and you-did not want (it)."

Matthew 23:38: "Behold — your house is-being-left (to) you desolate [erēmos 2048 in Greek]."

The Greek word for "desolation" [erémósis 2050 in Greek, noun] used in Luke 21:20 comes from the Greek word for "to-desolate" [erémoó 2049 in Greek, verb] which comes from the Greek word for "desolate" [erémos 2048 in Greek, adjective] used in Matthew 23:38.

Matthew 24:30: "And then the sign (of) the Son (of) Man will-appear in (the) heaven. And at-that-time all the tribes (of) the earth will-beat-their-breasts. And THEY-WILL-SEE the Son (of) man COMING on the clouds (of) heaven with power and great glory."
