There are similarities between Matthew 24 and Matthew 16.
The same Greek words that are used in both passages will be CAPITALIZED.
Matthew 24:34: "TRULY I-SAY (to) YOU that THIS GENERATION by-no-means will-pass-away until all these (things) take-place."
Matthew 16:4: "(An) evil and adulterous GENERATION is-seeking-for (a) sign. And (a) sign will not be-given (to) it, except the sign (of) Jonah”. And having-left them behind, He-went-away."
The parallel account in Mark reads:

The Greek word for "to-put-to-death" [thanatoо́ 2289 in Greek, verb] used in Luke 21:16 comes from the Greek word for "death" [thanatos 2288 in Greek, noun] used in Luke 9:27.
