1st century imminence in the Bible of the day of the Lord?

The same Greek words that are used in the various passages will be CAPITALIZED.

The mentions of the DAY of the Lord in several biblical passages could have been apprehended as imminent in the 1st century. The nature of the diverse mentions of the DAY of the Lord in the following passages will not be addressed here.

For example, it is written in Matthew that Jesus was speaking as "the disciples came to Him privately" (Matthew 24:3) and Jesus talked to these 1st century disciples about the DAY of their LORD, saying: "YOU-do not know (on) which DAY YOUR LORD is-coming. And YOU know that (saying), that if the house-master had-known (on) which watch the thief was-coming, he-would-have-kept-watch" (Matthew 24:42-43). Jesus then added in the very next verse, addressing His 1st century disciples: "FOR THIS REASON YOU also be prepared (ones)" (Matthew 24:44).

Another example, it is written in 1 Corinthians that the epistle was written primarily "(to) the church (of) God being in Corinth" (1 Corinthians 1:1) in the 1st century, and to them it was written about "Jesus Christ, Who also will-confirm YOU UNTIL (the) end (so as to be) blameless ON the DAY (of) our LORD Jesus" (1 Corinthians 1:7-8).

Another example: it is written in 1 Thessalonians that the epistle was written "(to) the church (of the) Thessalonians" (1 Thessalonians 1:1) in the 1st century, and to them it was written that "you-know yourselves accurately that (the) DAY (of the) LORD comes in-this-manner — like (a) thief in (the) night [...] But YOU, brothers, are not in darkness, so that the DAY should-overtake YOU like (a) thief" (1 Thessalonians 5:2-4).
